No need to adjust your computer screens Geeksters.  You read the title right, a reversible USB cable is making its debut in the middle of the year.  The introduction of this new generation of USB will really allow for thinner devices and sleeker designs.  The Type C connector is expected to be about the same size as that of a Micro USB plug and will be reversible.  That means that you won’t have to get frustrated at yourself, or your device, when you realize you’ve been trying to shove the USB plug in upside down.  In the end this is going to be the only cable or connector you will need for any of your smart devices.  Brad Saunders, Chairman of USB 3.0 Promoter Group, stated that it will “meet evolving design trends in terms of size and usability”.  Another statement was released by Alex Peleg of Intel, he shared that the new USB connector “will enable an entirely new super-thin class of devices from phones to tablets, to 2-in-1s, to laptops to desktops”.  Because the Type C connector is something entirely new, there will be necessary use of adapters and cables so that other USB chargers aren’t deemed unusable.
