You may have heard some news yesterday about Google undergoing an organization wide structure change.  What does it all mean?  Well, basically Google will now be operating under its newly created parent company, Alphabet, Inc.  They plan to have Google focus mainly on their web products such as Search, Gmail, and Google apps.  Co-founders of Google, Larry Page is named Alphabet, Inc.’s CEO and Sergey Brin their President.  Since Google will be just one piece of the puzzle, their role will begin to change and as stated “slimmed down”.  A couple companies under Alphabet, Inc. are Calico which is developing smart contact lenses, and Nest the well known home automation brand.  You can read a full letter describing the new path for the web giant here as written by Larry Page.
