Now you can get help from apps to keep you on track. Budgeting & Saving: Mint (Android, iOS, & Windows) Mint is a free app that helps you accomplish your goal to budget and save money. This app connects to your loans, mortgages, credit cards, and bank account so that you can track what you spend. You’re able to set budgets for each category and that will notify you if you have gone over that amount. You can also set goals for any purchases you are planning to make. Enter in the date you would need the funds and the amount you required and there you have it, your savings goal is set. Weight Loss: Lose It! (Android & iOS) With this app you will be able to make sure you are always on track. Enter your goal weight and the app will provide you with a plan to lose the weight safely. You can set it to help you lose a certain amount of pounds in a certain amount of time, for example: lose 1 pound per week. Lose It! will also calculate your daily calorie intake to help you accomplish your goal. In order to be successful with this app, you will need to record everything you eat and all exercise. Not only does Lose It! provide you with the tools to lose the weight, but it will also cheer you on and motivate you to keep going by celebrating your triumphs along the way. You will be able to connect with exercise apps and a community of people for support. They do offer a “premium account” that can track more health metrics. Quit Smoking: Cessation Nation (Android) Cessation Nation helps you to achieve that challenging resolution of quitting smoking. Enter a quit date and note your progress. It will show you the amount of money you have saved and health improvements along the way. They even have games to distract yourself when you have a craving or an urge to light up. Cessation Nation allows you to sign up for AchieveMint for free; a service that allows you to turn points earned by recording every smoke free day into cash. Working on Better Habits: Lift (Android & iOS) If your list of New Year’s resolutions consists of a bunch of smaller habits to work on, then Lift will be able to help you with that. Browse through the habits you wish to work on such as flossing, spending time away from your smart device, or calling family members more often and each day Lift will ask if you have done any of your chosen habits. Keeping track of your progress, Lift will also provide daily topics of discussion to open you up to a community of others who are working towards the same end goal. Organization: Evernote (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Mac, & Windows) If you’re resolution is to keep better track of things and be more organized, then Evernote can help you with that. Evernote helps you keep everything organized; it’s a note-taking app that will sync all notes to any Evernote app on your computer, phone, or tablet. Not just a note-taking app, you can store To-Do lists, documents, PDFs, and photos. The desktop version allows you to save scans and offers even more organizational features.
